Income Based Tuition Application

Portside Arts Center provides income-based tuition to eligible students through an application process. Income-based tuition subsidies are awarded to students based on need and artistic interest.

Portside Arts Center's board of directors reviews each application in confidence and makes awards based on the information you provide in this application. Portside Arts Center tries to make every effort to provide tuition subsidies when circumstances require it.  

Every year Portside's board and staff raise funds through grants, sponsorships, and donations to be able to provide tuition subsidies to families in need. We encourage all families to apply and past recipients are welcomed to apply again.

Scholarships are awarded on a first come first serve basis.

Portside Arts Center provides scholarships to eligible students through an application process. Scholarships are awarded to students based on:

1. Considered Low Income by Federal Guidelines
2. ​Have other unexpected expenses (ex. Medical, debt)
3. Multiple children
4. COVID-19 Financial Stress (ex. Loss or decreased employment)
5. Expected Expenses/ Loss of Revenue
6. Parents on SSI
