Participants must currently be 11 years to 17 years old.
This specialty three hour teen workshop introduces students to the connection between art and psychology as teens explore how color theory and psychology interact in different creative environments. Students will be encouraged to explore introspection and self - reflection as a part of the brainstorming and art making process. They will learn about how the use of color conveys different emotions, and create a self portrait or still life painting in which they select colors that are evocative of the message they want to make. In addition to the art lesson and project, students will play a fun art themed game and have a final critique in which they share their work with fellow students!
