Participants must currently be 11 years to 17 years old.
This specialty one time workshop introduces students to the connection between art and psychology. During the three hour workshop, students will learn the difference between abstract and representational art, and assess the way the use of lines effect their interpretation of a work of art. Students will create a painting in which they experiment with different line weight, textures, and layering in alignment with an emotion they are trying to portray. In addition to the art lesson and project, students will play a fun and educational ice breaker art game, as well as have a final critique as they share what they've created with their peers!
